Musicotherapy
Music Therapy is defined as an established health profession in which music is used within a therapeutic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. Sound and music have the ability to activate regions of the brain that influence memory, emotions, movement, sensory relay, decision-making and reward.
Music experiences are strategically designed to utilize the elements of music for therapeutic effects, including melody, harmony, key, mode, meter, rhythm, pitch/range, duration, timbre, form, texture, and instrumentation.
